Sanath Nallagatla is dedicated to driving change at the intersection of culture, society, and activism. As an advocate for immigrant rights, economic equity, and community empowerment, he leads initiatives to amplify underrepresented voices and push for policy reform, working toward a more inclusive and just future.
ABOUT ME
I’m Sanath Nallagatla, a high school student, Eagle Scout, and passionate advocate for social justice, cultural preservation, and public policy reform. I’m deeply committed to advancing immigrant rights, economic equity, and community empowerment.
Through my leadership roles in Boy Scouts, financial research, and human rights organizations, I strive to amplify marginalized voices and create meaningful change.
My goal is to build a more inclusive and just society for everyone.
LEADERSHIP

Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Boy Scouts of America (August, 2021-Present)
Led 50 scouts, pushed for a diversity initiative, delegated tasks for volunteering initiatives and projects, organized meetings, and directed various service projects such as local state and national park clean-ups and creating chalkboards for an impoverished nursery school.

Financial Research Assistant, Independent Research with Dr.Agarwal, Georgia State University (December, 2022-July 2024)
Analyzed data on market trends by reviewing 300 influencers and 200 Robinhood Snacks articles. Consumer habits modeled and tracked, formed into various graphs, and used regressions to predict future market trends. All findings currently pending for publishing within a research paper.

Co-Founder and Co-President, Greater Atlanta Christian School Pickleball Club (September 2023-Present)
Organized weekly sports events and meetings, fundraised for equipment, and increased participation by approximately 50% yearly. Additionally organized tournaments in order to pay for school supplies to be donated to local public elementary schools.

ACTIVISM
Human Rights Intern, Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (May 2024-July 2024)

Researched labor economics primarily within the undocumented immigrant realm, analyzed and researched various labor abuse reports against immigrants and learned how that affected policy.

Presented to Governor Brian Kemp in an attempt to veto the controversial HB1105 bill.

Outreached to Spanish communities, organized political canvassing efforts, and designed fliers in order to inform undocumented immigrants of their rights. Additionally researched privately owned prison statistics, as well as abuse within the privately owned prison system, culminating into a presentation to increase the quality of prisons.

Adult Education Intern, International Rescue Committee (May 2023-August 2023, May 2024-August 2024)
Taught American Government, Economics, and history to a class of approximately 30 asylum seekers. 97% of students passed the naturalization test.

Freelance Spanish Tutor, Aprende con Sanath, number of hours (August 2023-April 2024, August 2024-Present)
Tutored 6 children solely through Spanish language communication. Created fliers and marketed in social media. Average Spanish class grades of students increased by 5%. I mainly focused on cultural exploration within our lessons, however also incorporated American pop culture.
OTHER ACTIVITIES

Junior Varsity and Varsity Lacrosse Athlete, Greater Atlanta Christian School Lacrosse (February 2022-March 2023)
I competed in various regional lacrosse tournaments, made and served sandwiches for the homeless, and participated within daily lacrosse practices, however was forced to step away following a career-ending injury.

Hindu Temple assistant, Hindu Temple of Atlanta
I organized and managed various religious events such as Garba and Diwali, worked the cash register to manage and sell prayer beads and prayer offerings, regularly cleaned and maintained Puja rooms, and assisted in Pujas with priests.

Co-founder, Greater Atlanta Christian School Investment Club (February 2022-April 2022)
I organized meetings on financial literacy, presented latest market trends and training on investment strategy for stocks and cryptocurrencies.
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteer, Autrey Mill Nature Preserve,(August 2021-May 2023)
Cleaned, groomed, and fed various farm animals such as goats, ducks, rabbits, snakes, and more. Led conservation efforts and sorted through various historical documents as well as preserved historical buildings. Additionally organized events such as children’s birthday parties or conventions held within the preserve.
HONORS AND AWARDS
AP Scholar With Distinction
Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Scored a 5 on AP World History, AP United States History, and AP Macroeconomics. Scored a 4 on AP Spanish Language and Culture and AP English Language and Composition.
Eagle Scout Award
After seven years in the Boy Scouts of America organization I achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. 6% of all Scouts achieve this rank.
Presidential Volunteer Gold and Bronze Service Awards
Garnered approximately 200 hours in total in my efforts at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and the Hindu Temple of Atlanta
Honor Roll and President's list
Academic award from Greater Atlanta Christian School awarded to those with all A grades in both semesters of class.
Order of Arrow Inductee
Inducted into Scout's prestigious Honors society. Was elected by 80 percent of my Troop to represent Troop 3143 within the Honors Society.
